Undated (circa 1900) dark green cloth hardcover, 205 pages, 7.5 X 10 inches. Cover Good, corners bumped as is top/bottom of spine and front cover at the margin. Title and author gilt stamped. Binding tight. Text appears square and unmarked, with some age discoloration. Title page heavily foxed, with pencilled prices at op. Dozens of black and white illustrations, mostly small. "Part I, the Smaller Foreign Birds," Final page. with "Index of Scientific Names" has 1 1/2 inch tear at the bottom at the spine. Circa dated using Jisc, from copies of the work held at the National Trust Libraries.
