Red hardcover cloth volume with decoration and lettering on cover and spine. Some wear, rubbing and fading to cover due to use and passage of time. Slight forward tilt. Some foxing, fading, occasional staining to pages. Page 382 is ripped. Inside cover is inscribed in black ink "To Grandpa From [?] Hackett, Xmas 1959." The book contains an old note from D. A. Scott, General Merchant and Produce Dealer, made out to a Mrs. J. Foster by Gladys S. for the purchase of dog bread, brown sugar and other items.
