Hardback edition volume XVII, 1900, with illustrated decorative boards and no jacket as published. In overall good used condition with minor signs of handling and storage - red cloth bevel-edges boards slightly soiled with rubbing to edges and spine faded. Internally clean. Binding generally tight but first three or four pages becoming loose and the list of illustrations pages and the first illustration have become detached; no annotations or inscriptions; gilt page-ends retain lustre, text and lovely illustrations bright and clear throughout. All 32 illustrations present and correct. Not an old library book. Photograph available. Seller Inventory # 140607
