8vo. 304 pages. Pictorial red cloth boards with bevelled edges; decorated in black and gilt on front; gilt titles on spine; blind stamped design on rear. Edges of text block all gilt. Dark endpapers. 32 full page black and white plates on tinted paper. Boards rubbed, quite heavily edgeworn in a couple of places; corners bumped; ends of spine crushed and starting to fray; faded on spine. Previous owner's name on front endpaper; pencil price mark on verso of front free endpaper. Toning and foxing to some preliminary pages and endleaves; a few spots and marks on other pages but mostly clean. Binding a bit loose; both hinges starting to crack; gutters starting to crack in places.
