8vo. 304 pages. Pictorial red cloth boards with bevelled edges; decorated in black and gilt on front; gilt titles on spine; blind stamped design on rear. Edges of text block all gilt. Dark endpapers. 32 full page black and white plates on tinted paper. Boards rubbed and soiled, with heavy edgewear; corners bumped; ends of spine crushed and starting to fray; faded on spine; lower part of backstrip becoming detached; large pale mark on rear board. Previous owner's name on front endpaper; pencil bookshop annotations on verso of front free endpaper. Toning to a couple of preliminary pages; a few spots and marks on other pages but mostly clean. Both hinges starting to crack; otherwise binding reasonably firm. Seller Inventory # 911
