Synopsis
How's your mind, heart, body and soul? Tired? Weary? The Greatest Command; 'To love the Lord your God with your heart, mind, strength and soul', is frequently either too well known or simply overlooked. Too often this command is leapfrogged to fulfil the second, namely, 'to love others'. Tracey believes many people are all the more weary for it. Through using the Bible and the life of Jesus as her foundation, Tracey wrestles with theology and etymology in an informal quirky style. Rather than being prescriptive, through testimony she invites readers to come alongside her journey, to identify, and apply, if they choose.
About the Author
For Tracey Bateson, becoming 'collared' was a surprise, and her joining the Army was even more of one. Jack, her husband, was a tremendous support and encouragement as he quite literally accompanied her around the world. Tracey enjoyed every minute of serving with 26 Royal Artillery in Germany (during which she was deployed to Iraq) and the 1st Batallion of the Royal Regiment of the Fusiliers. During this time John, their son, was born. Tracey then re-entered parish Ministry as a Bishops' Missioner and Priest for a few years, during which time Jack started at theological college himself. As a family they love days out, cycle rides, walks and every so often you may even find Tracey on a golf course or a vineyard.
