Forget Kids – Get a Dog

You love children. Other people's children.

The ones you can hand back. The ones whose university fees aren't your problem. The ones who can't give you morning sickness, nits, or a hefty car-seat-related lower back injury.

Forget Kids – Get a Dog makes the case, cartoon by cartoon, that a dog is the superior life companion at every stage. Babies are exhausting and smell bad. Toddlers are chaos agents in tiny shoes. Teenagers are expensive, ungrateful strangers who've moved into your house. A dog, meanwhile, will greet you like a hero every time you come home, even if you only nipped out for milk.

With over 130 witty illustrated comparisons taking you from the newborn years all the way through to the empty nest (dogs don't go to university, and they won't boomerang back at 30), this is the book for everyone who has ever caught themselves thinking: a dog just seems... easier.

Perfect for dog lovers, child-free by choice, proud aunts and uncles, and anyone who has ever found themselves at a children's birthday party wondering how they got there.
