The Forgetting Game

Lost in Grief, Found in the Wild: A Father's Unforgettable Quest

After losing his infant daughter and getting stranded overnight in the jungle, Chris Barclay stumbled into a remote village that would change everything he thought he knew about life, death, and the nature of reality.

In the mountains of northern Thailand, Chris discovers Satha, an elderly Lawa shaman whose simple wisdom about "The forgetting game" offers profound answers to humanity's deepest questions. Through conversations that weave indigenous knowledge with a revolutionary view of consciousness, Satha reveals why we suffer, how dreams shape reality, and what it truly means to remember who we are.

Part heart-wrenching spiritual memoir, part cross-cultural adventure, The Forgetting Game weaves together psychedelic insights, shamanic wisdom, and the raw honesty of grief in a search for meaning that will leave you questioning your own path. This soul-stirring tale is more than a travel memoir-it's a roadmap home to yourself.
