Mother Love is an accomplished actress and radio and television personality who has been winning over countless fans with her straight talk, humor, and compassion. The odds were against a single mother on welfare, as she started her journey from the innercity projects of Cleveland, Ohio. She slowly worked her way up, holding a variety of jobs along the road to her eventual success: school bus driver, stand-up comedian at a biker bar, and a morning and afternoon radio host answering "Dear Mother Love Letters" and reporting the weather and sports. She credits her achievement, in part, to her strong belief in the Higher Power, her personal drive, and her loving husband's personal push.
Mother Love made her hosting debut on daytime television in 1998 as the guiding force on Forgive or Forget. She is also the spokesperson for a plus-size clothing line and is actively involved in the Regal Empress Showcase, a company created to promote the beauty, style, and grace of plus-size women. She is also active in women's shelters, offering clothing and encouragement to residents in order to instill confidence and ultimately help them gain employment. She lives with her family in the New York area.
Tonya Bolden has authored/edited/co-authored more than ten books, among which are 33 Things Every Girl Should Know, And Not Afraid to Dare: The Stories of Ten African American Women, and Strong Men Keep Coming: The Book of African American Men. She lives in New York City.
