The Forgotten

By nineteen, Josephina has become the program's cleanest success — an operative shaped by years of obedience drills, sensory reconditioning, and the systematic erasure of everything she once was. When a rogue operative known only as Asp begins eliminating personnel tied to the black-site facility that raised her, Josephina is sent to neutralize the threat. But Asp is not simply killing — Asp is collecting evidence, compiling files, preparing to drag the program's atrocities into the light. Every body dropped is a message. Every document stolen brings exposure closer.

Josephina's loyalty is engineered. Her purpose, simple. Hunt. Contain. Correct.

But memories don't vanish — they wait.

Twelve years earlier, seven children were taken from the foster system and processed into weapons, swearing a blood oath to protect one another. Now, as Josephina closes in, fragments of who she used to be begin to surface — and she finds herself facing the one target the program never trained her to destroy.

The Forgotten is a standalone dark psychological thriller about what happens when the system that unmade you sends you to destroy the only person who remembers what you were before.

Content warning: graphic violence, child abuse (physical, psychological, and sexual — non-graphic), torture, institutional dehumanization, forced child combat, death of children, and coerced complicity. This book does not flinch.
