Tis hard cover with red cloth covered boards and gilt lettering on the front board and spine. The spine is sunned and there is fading, sunning and soiling to the top inch of the front board. The boards edges are worn and the bottom tips of the boards are showing through. The top edge is darkened/soiled. There is, what appears to be, a birthday greeting in pencil on the front free end page and several signatures below-this is dated Januar 31, 1917. Previous owner(s) have aded notes to the front paste and consistent through the first 21 pages. There are infrequent notes and underling in the rest of the books. In total there are 294 pages to this publication. There are also some pin hole sized holes to the front gutter/joint. Pages are evenly toned throughout, and browned on pages 150-151 from the pressing of a plant. There is also a three inch separation between the spine and back board at the top edge.
