About the Author

Victor Lai is currently Associate Professor at the Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University. A Master of Arts in Painting and a Doctor of Philosophy in Visual Arts and Art History, he is both an art researcher and an artist, whose paintings have been the subject of reviews by Professors Norbert Lynton and Paul Huxley, Ken Kiff, Nigel Cameron and Hilary Binks over the past 15 years. Gloria Chan is currently a Senior Research Assistant at the Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University. Holding a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor, her areas of professional specialization is in cultural history and law-related art research, including Hong Kong art history, intellectual property rights issues, and art development.
