About the Author: Laura Bartels Felleman is an ordained elder in the Great Plains Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. She has taught courses in Wesleyan theology and Methodist history at the seminary level. Her research focuses on British intellectual history and the influence that Wesley's historical context had on his theological viewpoint.
