Formation and Differentiation of Early Embryonic Mesoderm: Proceedings of a NATO ARW Held in Banff, Alberta, Canada, October 25-27, 1991: v. 231 (NATO Science Series A: Life Sciences)

Focuses on the establishment, divergence, and specialization of the mesoderm, a key tissue in early development, the appearance of which signals a significant new phase in the development of the embryo. Provides a framework for the many scientists who are now being drawn to the field because of biotechnological advances that have opened up new opportunities for its study. Among the topics are the avian marginal zone and its role in early development, fibronectins and embryonic cell migration, and the expression of myogenic factors in somites and limb buds during mouse embryogenesis.
