This books is a collection of papers written by international researchers on the contribution to ontology of the Polish phenomenologist Roman Ingarden. It contains texts of such various themes as ontological dependency, ontological categories, modes of being, substance, causality, form, idealism and the ontology fictional objects. This book shows that Ingarden’s thought goes beyond phenomenology and its history, and could be of a valuable interest for contemporary metaphysical research.

About the Author

Olivier Malherbe est doctorant en philosophie du FNRS aupr�s de l’Universit� libre de Bruxelles. Sa th�se de doctorat est consacr�e aux questions esth�tiques et ontologiques entourant la probl�matique de la cr�ation et de la cr�ativit� dans l’œuvre d’Ingarden.
Enseignant � l’Universit� de Li�ge, S�bastien Richard est un sp�cialiste de m�taphysique et de logique. Il a publi� plusieurs ouvrages, parmi lesquels De la forme � l’�tre et Objects and Pseudo-Objects.

Olivier Malherbe is a PhD student in philosophy for the FNRS at the Universit� libre de Bruxelles. His PhD dissertation is about the esthetical and ontological questions related to the topic of creation and creativity in Ingarden’s work.
S�bastien Richard teaches at the Universit� de Li�ge and is a specialist of metaphysics and logic. He published several books on metaphysics, among which De la forme � l’�tre and Objects and Pseudo-Objects.
