About the Author: Giorgio Piola was born in Genoa in 1948 and since 1968 he has been a journalist and television commentator on all Formula 1 World Championships. For 25 years, from 1994 to 2018, he has been the author and illustrator of the yearbooks Formula 1. Technical Analysis, in which he has analyzed the evolution of the F. 1 cars year-by-year.
