New York was paralyzed by a truckers' strike, instigated by terrorists. Grasping for supplies brought out the inhumane, wherein stores they fought for food, leaving shelves empty. In Switzerland two determined Americansrisked their lives to discover the terrorist plot. The couple fell in love, spending a grand evening at a mountain tavern and inn. With high spirits andlocked arms, they sang along with a rollicking crowd. But after they left, the next morning an avalanche covered thetavern and inn, killing all there. Saddened, the couple followed the trail ofthe terrorists where they faced fearful intrigue. Now they were in the midst ofa dangerous game. Locked in a large church bell-tower, they came horribly closeto losing their lives. A terrorist cell planned the couple's death when thebells clanged with intense loudness. But by ingenuity they escaped and alertedauthorities. Throughout their journey, the couple fell deeper in love. Theywere tempted to stay in Switzerland, which by then was much safer than the US(suffering through massive small pox deaths, as well as suicide bombings). Yetwhen news came that the terrorists had hit the Statue of Liberty, the patrioticcouple flew back to help their beloved country -America.
