A very successful memoir of Field Marshal Lord Roberts of Kandahar's experiences in India, with personal accounts of life in India, descriptions of places visited, first-hand accounts of the Indian Rebellion of 1857, visits to Delhi, and more. Field Marshal Frederick Sleigh Roberts was a British Victorian era general who became one of the most successful British military commanders of his time. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot or handling mark.
