Jochen von Fircks, a prolific non-fiction author and avid photographer, captured his hometown of Rostock through the lens of his reflex camera. Around 1960, he snapped images that showcased both the city's rebuilding efforts and the lingering scars of war. He masterfully preserved the spirit of the era and contrasts these black-and-white historical shots with color photographs taken from similar angles six decades later, offering a striking glimpse into the city's transformation.
