Foundations Of Knowledge (1900)

Foundations of Knowledge is a philosophical book written by Alexander Thomas Ormond and first published in 1900. The book explores the fundamental questions of epistemology, or the study of knowledge. Ormond argues that knowledge is not simply a collection of facts, but a complex system of beliefs and assumptions that are shaped by our experiences, social context, and cultural background. He also examines the role of language, reason, and intuition in the acquisition of knowledge, and critiques various philosophical theories of knowledge, including empiricism and rationalism. Throughout the book, Ormond emphasizes the importance of critical thinking and self-reflection in the pursuit of knowledge. Foundations of Knowledge is a classic work in the field of epistemology and remains relevant to contemporary debates about the nature and limits of human knowledge. In Three Parts. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
