Four Frogs in a Glass Pond: With a special section on how to win a frog jumping contest!

The children were thrilled to be on a fishing trip with their dad. But they never expected the worms they cast into the mountain pond to bring back frogs. And when the stubborn hoppers wouldn’t let go of the line, they opened up the door to a whole new adventure.

Once they got home with the frogs, the family had to figure out how to take care of them. And as they caught moths, grasshoppers, and other insects, they learned exactly what these little amphibians would and wouldn’t eat.

But with winter coming, the store of bugs was running out…

In Four Frogs in a Glass Pond, Laura Blodgett combines a charming story of a summer spent tending frogs with a detailed look into what makes these creatures jump.
