The Four Pinay Sisters and the Orange Tiger (Paperback)

Paperback. Perhaps the most unique children's book you can have. Here is why: The Four Pinay Sisters and the Orange Tiger is more than just a collection of magical bedtime stories-it's a window into the extraordinary lives of Lyn, Liyah, Talia, and Cess, four real sisters living in a small Philippine village. These ten uplifting, meaningful and positive stories, inspired by the girls' resilience, real experiences and imagination, were crafted by Lyn, the eldest teenage sister, to comfort her younger siblings after they were orphaned four years ago in the wake of a devastating typhoon.Despite losing their parents and home, these remarkable girls have remained a close-knit team-supporting each other, facing challenges with courage, and always staying positive. Lyn, who has taken on the role of a mother to her sisters, tells bedtime tales about Tigoy, a mischievous and lovable talking tiger who helps the sisters overcome their struggles and bring joy to their community.Rooted in the authentic lifestyle of a Philippine village, these bilingual stories (English and Tagalog) bring readers a unique blend of culture, adventure, and heartwarming life lessons. They are perfect for children and families, offering an opportunity to explore Philippine traditions while mastering a second language-whether English or Tagalog is their first. Surely, they are also great as a book in a single language, simply disregarding language you don't need. What makes this book truly unique is that Lyn, a teenage girl without formal writing experience, poured her heart into creating these stories for her younger siblings. Each tale is an act of love, written to bring comfort, joy, and hope to her sisters during difficult times-and this love shines through in every word. These stories, written in Tagalog, were also translated to English with utmost care to keep their original character.By purchasing this book, you're not only sharing these inspiring tales with your loved ones but also supporting the sisters' education. Every cent from sales goes directly toward ensuring their bright future. This book was written with love-and it's a gift of love that keeps giving. Lyn wrote many more of these stories - this book, being first - will be soon followed by next one: The Four Pinay Sisters and the Orange Tiger: A Jar of Kindness These books are also available as Kindle editions.
