Hardcover. Bound in purple cloth with gold lettering on the spine, crossed swords on the front cover. Spine is faded to dray. Binding tight, text block square. Title page dated 1866. Frontispiece with tissue guard present. 291 pages. This copy has early ownership name Georg [or George] H Ewell MD signed on the front endpaper. The Ewell name is prominent in VA, but we haven't tracked down a 19th century George yet. First blank page has the signature of Wm. L Ritter. Bookplate with Ritter name on page opposite, with address on Carrolton Ave in Baltimore. Ritter was orderly Sergeant of the 3rd MD Artillery. Please email with questions or to request photos.

Priority mailing is for a Flat-Rate envelope, with tracking included. If the book does not fit into a flat rate envelope, we will likely need to request extra shipping costs from you, in order to put it in a box. Regular shipping by USPS Media Mail is $4. MEDIA MAIL SHIPPING DOES NOT INCLUDE TRACKING.
