Fox Catches a Wave (My First I Can Read)

Fox—the beloved and popular trickster character featured in the Geisel Award–winning books Fox Has a Problem, Fox at Night, and Fox the Tiger—is on the move! But Fox knows that life is about the journey, not the destination, and if his untraditional transportation methods get him in a bit of trouble, he can always try again tomorrow. Kirkus Reviews calls Corey R. Tabor “a master of the early reader.”

Where is Fox going? But more importantly, how is he getting there?

A train? A bus? A surfboard? A waterfall? Fox’s travel methods may be a bit unusual, but we would expect nothing less from our terrific, trickster friend.

Wry, repetitive text with carefully chosen language and a limited vocabulary allows for an accessible read while charming illustrations provide context and comedy in Corey R. Tabor’s award-winning Fox series, making it a perfect choice for emerging readers and their caretakers. The Fox series, which is comprised of both picture books and beginning readers, has received three Geisel Awards, one Geisel Honor, multiple starred reviews, and features appealing plots, lovable characters, and age-appropriate themes that encourage children to continue their reading journey.
