London: Published by Thomas Kelly, 1822. Later Edition. Disbound with both boards detached, complete with all pages although some pages are torn with loss of text see below. Text block is complete and intact apart from the frontispiece and end papers which are detached at the front and rear. Illustrations are all present although 1 is torn into pieces (pxxiii Vincent tortured on a Gridiron over the Fire and Julitta tortured on the Rack ); 5 with closed tears that impact the illustration but complete, many others with closed tears to the margins not impacting the illustrations. Two text pages (B*1 and 457 or 6A1) torn with loss to the text. Two pages with closed tears and no loss to the text (page 5 torn right across the page). Provenance: no inscriptions and bookplates. Approximately 17 inches (43cm) tall. Condition Report Externally Spine poor condition worn with both boards detached. Joints poor condition broken. Corners poor condition bumped and worn. Boards poor condition detached. Page edges good condition tanned and marked. See above and photos. Internally Hinges poor condition broken. Paste downs fair condition marbled.
