Fractured: A True Story of a Home That Wouldn’t Let Go

They thought it was just an old house.
But some homes never forget.

In 2006, Michael and Sindy Harland moved their three children into what they believed would be their forever home — a charming semi-detached house in Fenham, Newcastle upon Tyne.

At first, it was everything they’d hoped for. Until strange things began to happen. Small at first. Easy to dismiss. But over time, the house revealed a far darker secret — one rooted in a violent crime that had been buried and forgotten.

As the years passed, the disturbances grew. Doors appeared where none should be. Voices whispered from empty rooms. Something — or someone — had latched onto their family, and it wasn’t letting go.

Fractured is a raw and unsettling account inspired by a true story. While based on real events, some names, locations, and details have been changed to protect those involved. Told with honesty and emotional depth, this haunting memoir explores love, fear, and the unseen force that nearly tore a family apart.

What if the thing that wants your children already lives inside your home?
