FIRST AND ONLY EDITION, number 96 of just 99 numbered copies, containing three translations from Horace, four pieces from The Westminster Problems Book, and several verses from The London Mercury. From the Brooke collection of John Shcroder who purchased many volumes and manuscripts from the library of Sir Edward Marsh and produced a handsome catalogue of his treasures in 1970. Small quarto. Original mauve paper boards with imitation vellum backstrip ( parchment - Keynes) lettered in gilt. Top edge trimmed, others uncut. Morocco bookplate of John Schroder to front pastedown, with offsetting to facing endpaper and light sunning to spine, otherwise a fine copy. Lacking original glassine. [Keynes 9; Schroder 90].
