Fragments of a Poet's Mind

Every thought, every feeling, every whisper of the soul — a fragment.

In Fragments of a Poet’s Mind, D. L. Long gathers life’s scattered pieces and arranges them into a breathtaking mosaic of truth, vulnerability, and hope.

Through poetry that speaks from the quiet corners of the heart, Long explores what it means to be human — to love deeply, to lose bravely, and to rediscover beauty in the smallest moments. Her words carry readers across a spectrum of emotion: from the raw ache of self-reflection to the peaceful glow of self-acceptance.

Each poem tells its own story — of courage, cultural pride, and the daily grace of simply being alive. Whether it’s the steady rhythm of a road trip, the shimmer of fireflies in summer, or the sacred power of natural hair and heritage, Long’s verses invite readers to pause, feel, and breathe in the poetry that already exists around them.

Fragments of a Poet’s Mind is not just a collection — it’s an awakening. A gentle reminder that even in brokenness, there is beauty; and even in silence, the heart still speaks.
