Quarto. 60 (109)pp. Illustrated black glossy wraps with white lettering on front cover and spine. Foreword by Forrest J. Ackerman. This is a facsimile of the shooting script for the 1931 film "Frankenstein". The film is considered by many to be the definitive screen version of the classic story by Mary Shelly. In this publication, the script is preceded by 60 pages of informative text and photographs, as well as b&w photographic reproductions of production designs, posters, newspaper articles and press clippings, that shed light on the production of the film and the screen history of the Frankenstein story. Following the script are two appendixes, the first being a facsimile of the annotated shooting script for the lost Bela Lugosi test footage, and the second is a documentation of the first London stage production of Frankenstein, in 1930. Wrappers with light scratches and smudges to front and back cover, and a minor crease on the front cover, along spine. Wraps in overall very good-, interior in near fine condition.
