Historische Landkarte, von Johannes Janssonius. 38,0 x 51,2 cm (Darstellung / Platte), 53,5 x 62,5 cm (Blatt).Die Karte umfaßt das Gebiet von Saint-Sorlin-en-Bugey (Ain) und Lyon im Norden, Avigliana (Turin) und Pinerolo (Turin) im Osten, Serres (Hautes-Alpes) und Viviers (Ardèche) im Süden und der Verlauf der Rhone zwischen Viviers (Ardèche) und Lyon im Westen. Blatt mit mittiger Bugfalte. Sonst guter Zustand.Johannes Janssonius (1588 Arnhem - 1664 Amsterdam). Auch Jan Janszoon oder Jan Janssen. Niederländischer Karthograf und Verleger. Heiratete 1612 die Tochter von Jodocus Hondius (1563-1612), dem Eigentümer der Druckplatten von Mercator. Gab den Atlas Mercator-Hondius neu heraus. 1633 folgte die Ausgabe des zweiten Bandes - der sog. Mercator-Hondius-Janssonius. Sein größtes Werk ist der Atlas 'Theatre du Monde', der in 11 Bänden 1639 bis 1666 erschien. Rechts oben Titelkartusche, daneben Wappen der Region. 38,0 x 51,2 cm (Darstellung / Platte), 53,5 x 62,5 cm (Blatt). Seller Inventory # 00111456
