DELUXE edition with 2 extra suites of the illustrations. Small thick folios, housed in the original purple chemise, only slightly worn and faded, but lacking outer slipcase. Text volume: In tan printed paper wrappers. [4], 172, [2] pages and containing 60 bound plates on Japan paper, each protected with lettered tissue. Two additional suites of the gravures: loose as issued in plain white paper wraps (repaired). Paris: Goupil & Cie/Manzi, Joyant et Cie, 1912. Deluxe first edition -- Number LI of LXXV copies sur papier Imperiales du Japon. A very good+ copy of the special edition. lacking the outer slipcase and with neat repairs to the plain paper wrappers, but all plates in excellent condition. Original prospectus loosely inserted.
