Franticek-Human States of Aggregation: I Melt, Therefore I Am!

The first collection of the work of multi-media Swiss artist Franticek Klossner.

“I Melt, Therefore I Am!” Franticek Klossner is a pioneer of performance and media art in Switzerland. Transcending boundaries, he combines visual and performing arts, shedding his skin like a snake to constantly reinvent himself. This process enables viewers to visualize the stages of his evolution as a person and as an artist.

In this major monograph, Franticek Klossner for the first time presents his entire multimedia oeuvre. This body of work, consisting of performances, video art, medical imaging, drawings, and silhouettes, is contextualized from various perspectives through contributions by numerous international authors. Surveys of Klossner’s previous exhibitions and his works in public collections, as well as a complete catalog of his video art, make Franticek—Human States of Aggregation a valuable resource and reference for public and private collectors alike.
