Rennie Curran has spent the past 13 years of his life doing the very thing that he loves – playing the game of football. In 2010, he was drafted in the 3rd round of the NFL Draft after a spectacular career as an All-American linebacker at the University of Georgia, accomplishing his childhood dream of one day playing in the NFL. Everything seemed to be going according to plan; however, Curran would suddenly be thrust into a situation that would make him question everything about himself and his purpose in this world.Rennie Curran’s story is one of a lifelong journey, a journey of highs and lows, triumph and adversity, and the ability to overcome that adversity through faith and strength. In Free Agent: The Perspectives of a Young African-American Athlete, Curran hopes that his experiences will help others who are facing similar crossroads in their journey of life, giving them the inspiration they need to overcome any obstacles they may encounter on the way to finding and attaining their dreams.

Rennie is a former professional athlete, motivational speaker, author, and musician who use's his platform to inspire audiences to overcome obstacles, stay ahead of the competition, and reach their fullest potential. His experiences of overcoming many circumstances to reach his childhood dream of becoming 3-time All American at The University of Georgia, a 3rd round draft pick in the NFL Draft, and transitioning into starting his own business gives him a unique perspective on what it takes to handle adversity and maximize opportunities while having a positive impact on others. Through his innovative presentations, he teaches organizations how to transform their lives and their business through leadership and personal development.
Rennie has been counseling and inspiring people for many years. In 2013 he published a motivational self-help book entitled 'Free Agent' The Perspectives of a Young African American Athlete'. This motivational self-help book discusses how to overcome adversity and times of transition that we all face along our journey to achieve our dreams.

When Rennie is not speaking, coaching, or writing he is usually catching up on one his favorite hobbies: music. He grew up playing the piano, drums, and viola. He is also a public servant who spends lots of time giving back through several organizations including Boys and Girls Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, ALS Foundation, Boys Scouts of America, and much more!
