Free Your Mind: New Philosophy (Paperback or Softback)

In the tradition of Plato, Baldwin, Fanon, hooks & West, an Afrofuturist philosopher charts a path forward for today’s troubled times.

Free Your Mind is lightly fictionalized philosophy, rendered as debates like the ones in Plato's Symposium, except as taking place at a meeting of a secret Black fraternity in a boarded-up storefront, where young men, women, people of nontraditional gender, Afrocentric elders, and mysterious strangers debate ways to save the world from political, environmental and technological destruction.

WHY THIS BOOK?

Practical, entertaining, lucid and deep, Free Your Mind uses puzzles, hidden games, and lively dialogs as the entrypoint towards the creation of new methods and communities of resistance, revival, revolution, reconstruction and renaissance.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Although the core target audience is young Black men with an interest in philosophy, spirituality, intellectual debate, social activism and the creative arts, this book is open to anyone with a mind and the desire to use it to make the world better.
