317 p.; 22 cm. Blue cloth with gilt spine title. Blue endpapers with facsimile of Calnan's records as a German prisoner of war. Illustrated dust jacket. Thomas D. Calnan (1915-1981) was commissioned in the RAF in 1936. While flying a photo-reconnaissance mission over France at the end of 1941 he was shot down and captured. His many escapes and attempts at escape are recounted here. Book is in Fine Condition: clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Good Condition: rubbed; chipping at edges; slight discoloration at upper edges near spine; otherwise, clean and bright.
