Williams a member of the faculty of Virginia Normal and Collegiate Institute, and was the author of *The Negro Race, a Pioneering Civilization, Why We are Baptists,* etc. Uncommon. *OCLC* locates three copies of the third edition. *Blockson 2875* (for the first edition, which was published in the same year).
