French Policing and Justice: A System in Freefall?

Between the gilded halls of justice and the dust of forgotten evidence, the system is cracking. Millions of complaints dismissed without action, courtrooms turned into logistics warehouses, and a police force caught in a pincer movement between political mandates and the brutal reality of the streets. In this hard-hitting documentary tragedy, Lucas, a relentless young researcher, dissects the asphyxiation of a democracy. From the scandal of sexual violence to the narco-trafficking networks devouring the countryside, from the impunity of the powerful to the cries of grieving mothers, this play relentlessly explores the vertigo of our institutions. Police and Justice: mere public services or a theater of shadows? Through a bold bilingual dramatic structure, this work confronts ministerial balance sheets with raw human realities. It is a necessary text -both a cry of alarm and a quest for a rediscovered social contract. An artwork where the law ceases to be a budgetary equation and becomes a civic muscle once more. Enter the labyrinth. Look into the shattered mirror. And ask yourself: what remains of the general interest?
