The French Star

When two wounded souls from different worlds retreated to the Isle of Skye to escape and forget, the last thing they expected to find was each other.
After enduring a loveless and humiliating marriage ending in a traumatic and very public divorce, celebrated French actress, Gabrielle Renard, retreats to the Isle of Skye, Scotland. With a beautiful house rented for three months, Gabrielle begins her self-imposed exile in the hope she might find serenity and some meaning to her life as she approaches her fiftieth birthday alone.
While adapting to the island, its customs and local characters, she meets Iain, a local man with demons of his own to exorcise. Within days, both feel an inexplicably strong attraction to each other, causing Iain to employ caution while Gabrielle feels she may have found the love that had been evading her for so long.
As their feelings for each other intensify, the obstacles in their path increase and test the still-delicate relationship, allowing doubts and fears to threaten everything. When a malevolent stranger arrives on the island, the relationship the two have built is tested to its very foundation.
The French Star is a story about love, exploring all the beautiful fragility of the human condition, from its better angels to its darkest demons.
