[?] 1865 / Shiras University Persia / Ispahan and Teheran" on the front pastedown, and one Philadelphia subscriber's name altered in manuscript from Francis B. Stockton to Franck[?] Biddle. Contemporary full leather with morocco spine label gilt. Binding worn with slight loss and a short split at the crown, first few preliminary and terminal leaves with some dampstaining (slight evidence of a tidemark at the upper joint as well) and toned at the margins from the leather turn-ins, front fly with a small chip and title page corner clipped, text with offsetting throughout, a sound, good or better copy.
