About the Author:

Fr. Benedict Baur, O.S.B. (1877–1963), was a German Benedictine priest and theology professor. He served as abbot of the Archabbey of Beuron. Dedicated to the liturgy and research, Fr. Baur was the founder of the Vetus Latina Institute and a resolute opponent of the Nazi regime. His numerous works include The Light of the World and In Silence with God.
