Freshman Class of Old Age: Orientation guide for your Second Draft: You Didn't Know You Needed It (Middle Stage LIfe)

A thoughtful, funny guide to the second half of life — for people who feel like they’re between chapters.

From John Heffron — winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, bestselling author, and nationally touring comedian with 37 years on stage.

WHAT THIS BOOK IS

Freshman Class of Old Age is the orientation you never got for what comes next — written for people who did everything right, but still feel like something doesn’t fit anymore.

THE MOMENT

Nobody sent you a letter.
No committee. No essay question.
You just kept living, kept handling things…
and one morning the first half was done.

Not over. Complete.

“Over” means something was taken.
“Complete” means you saw something through.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND INSIDE

• Orientation Studies 101 — Arrival Without Notice
• Inherited Studies 220 — Other People’s Fear as a Career Path
• Visibility Studies 225 — The Gradual Disappearance
• Linguistics 445 — Complete Versus Over
• Commencement Studies 499 — What Comes After the Map Runs Out

HOW IT READS

Each chapter ends with Heffnotes — the takeaway in John’s stand-up voice.
Hard truth, wrapped in humor.
The kind that makes you laugh… because it’s accurate.

WHO THIS IS FOR

You.
The one who did everything right…
and still feels like something doesn’t fit anymore.

If you’ve ever thought:
“Nothing broke… the instructions just stopped.”

This book is for you.

ONE MORE THING

This is the kind of book you read…
and then quietly buy for someone else.

This isn’t motivation.
It’s recognition.

You’re not starting over.
You’re starting from.

You’re already enrolled.
