The simulation assessed stress distribution and deformation, ensuring the tool design withstands operational loads. A load cell was integrated into the retrofit assembly to capture real-time welding forces, which were compared with FEA results for validation. The close agreement between simulated and experimental data confirmed tool reliability and the mechanical feasibility of the retrofitted system. This approach demonstrates a cost-effective solution for FSW implementation in small-scale industries.
