The birds are quick to tell him what he can and can not do, even who he can be, judging him before knowing the full story. But Flutter doesn't mind being different. In fact, he likes it! The Flutter series celebrates a child's imagination, while teaching about self-confidence and the importance of believing in yourself. With the help of his kind friend, Little Bird, Flutter stands up for himself by using words to explain to the birds what they don't understand, which eventually brings them around. Once the birds know his full story, they accept who he is.

Catie Cat is a writer, designer, and illustrator/Artist working in advertising and marketing. My friend Flutter is her first children's book. She has a BS Advertising and a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas, and was a Research Assistant in the Children's Research Lab while attending the University. She has a Certificate of Completion in Advanced Creative Writing from the Department for Continuing Education, University of Oxford, England. Professional organizations include: Jericho Writers (Oxford, England) and The Writers' League of Texas (Austin, Texas). She has won several awards including: First Page Contest Finalist, Juror's Choice Award, Distinguished Award, and Best of Show. She has two grown children and lives with her husband in Austin, Texas.
