Two issues of The Friendly Visitor bound as one. Comprising of Volume XXVI and Volume XXVII the years 1844 and 1845. Written by William Carus Wilson an English churchman. He founded the long-lived monthly periodical The Children's Friend. This periodical, The Friendly Visitor, was first established in 1819. In a half calf binding with paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart with rubbing to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Heavier rubbing to the joints. Further patches of rubbing to the paper covered boards. Loss to the head of both joints. Prior owner's stamp to the front pastedown, S William Shelton Ltd Antiques and Decorative Furniture. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age toned to edges with light spots to the first and last few pages. Occasional light spots throughout. Very Good. Seller Inventory # LTH6-E-15
