Between Friends

As in the earlier book with the title Between Friends, the author provokes strenuous reflection on issues which matter today and stresses the importance of multiple perspectives instead of dogmatism, scepticism or obscurantism. She firmly believes that the present does not trump the past and that this needs remembering as we face an uncertain future.

As a student Margaret Chatterjee read Modern Greats (Philosophy, Politics and Economics) at Oxford where she was awarded an exhibition at Somerville College. Subsequently she did intensive research on Gandhi's life and thought on which she has written eight books. She had opportunities for teaching at university level in several countries and this made her familiar with many cultures. Her writings in different genres reveal her deep concern with the human condition as it is today and what the prospects may be for tomorrow.
