L'�l�phant Fritz est n� en Inde en 1870. Captur� tr�s jeune, il est dompt� dans une m�nagerie de Hambourg pour devenir ensuite un animal de cirque en Allemagne puis en Am�rique sous les chapiteaux des Barnum et autres Bailey. "Fritz", c'est l'histoire racont�e par un �l�phant qui a v�cu le calvaire des longs transports, de la captivit� et de la maltraitance des animaux de cirque. C'est aussi le r�cit d'une histoire lointaine qui renvoie avec force � la barbarie humaine et qui croise les progr�s de l'humanit� : transport, �lectricit�, etc. Isy Ochoa signe ici un livre puissant dont les illustrations et peintures � naturalistes �, les aquarelles et acryliques, nous immergent dans une �poque historique passionnante.

About the Author

Isy Ochoa est n�e � Paris le 27 novembre 1961. Dipl�m�e en 1984 de l’�cole Sup�rieure d’Arts Graphiques (ESAG), elle travaille dans la publicit� et l’�dition avant de se consacrer enti�rement � l’illustration.
Son travail a �t� montr� dans de nombreuses expositions et ses peintures r�guli�rement vendues par Christie's ou Drouot. Elle a d�j� publi� aux �ditions du Ch�ne, chez Parigramme, Minerva, Solar et Gautier Languereau. Fritz est son premier album publi� en jeunesse.
