Fritz Scholder An Intimate Look 2008 IAIA Museum Santa Fe Art PB

Fritz Scholder: An Intimate Look, published by the Institute of American Indian Arts Museum, Santa Fe, on the occasion of the 2008-2009 exhibition. A richly illustrated catalogue examining the work of Fritz Scholder, one of the most important and provocative figures in contemporary Native American art. Scholder's work challenged traditional expectations of Native identity in art, blending expressionism with cultural critique. This catalogue includes essays, biographical context, and strong visual reproductions spanning painting and mixed media. Published locally in Santa Fe, which adds regional collector appeal, especially given IAIA's significance in Native American art history. Condition is very good. Clean interior, tight binding, and crisp pages. Light handling wear to covers at most. No writing or markings observed. A solid, collectible exhibition catalogue with crossover appeal to Southwest art collectors and institutional buyers.
