Frog and Fly (A Natural Order Story)

Two bugs-eye views of one little pond - and a punchline only nature could write.

First you meet the frog: a proud little guy who can't wait to show off. He swims with webbed hands and toes, sticks the landing on his favorite stump, and lets out a CROAK big enough to rattle the oaks. Then you meet the fly: a fast-flying, apple-loving daredevil riding the breeze, hunting up the sweetest rotten snack to bring home to the family. Both of them are having a great day. Only one of them knows how it ends.

Frog and Fly is a bouncy, read-aloud rhyme that turns one of nature's oldest rules - everything eats, and everything has its place - into a giggle-worthy story kids beg to hear again. As the two pond neighbors narrate their day side by side, their small adventures quietly reveal how the creatures of a single pond are connected, building to a cheeky "uh-oh!" twist that lands the lesson without ever feeling like one. With bright, character-filled illustrations and just the right pinch of silliness, it's a first look at the food chain and the wild world just outside your door - perfect for curious preschoolers and early readers, and a wonderful pick for classroom read-alouds and family bookshelves alike.

A funny rhyming nature picture book for children ages 3-8.
