About the Author

Ali Wunderman is a travel writer, guidebook author, and wildlife photographer with her work appearing in more than 25 publications. Originally a food satirist, Ali now focuses her writing on helping other travelers have memorable experiences in the places she loves most. Central America holds a special place in Ali's heart for creating the foundation for her travel infatuation, with Belize in particular keeping her coming back for more. It might not be the fry jacks, but it's at least partially the fry jacks.
Ali lives in San Francisco, California, where she was born and mostly raised, with her husband Michael and their mutt, Sophie. She is certified in forklift operation and cow AI, neither of which has ever helped her writing career (yet).
