Original navy-blue cloth, lettered and decorated in silver and green; black endpapers. Light scuffing, light foxing, very good. Daudet's novel appeared in France in 1874, and the first English edition (under the title Fromont the Younger and Risler the Elder) was issued by Henry Vizetelly in 1880. By 1894 the Vizetelly firm had folded and Vizetelly's son Edward oversaw this new (or rather revised) translation.

Orders usually ship within 2 business days.
All books are packaged in bubblewrap and stiff, double-walled cardboard. We do not use soft "mailing" bags.
Shipping costs are based on books weighing 750 gm. If a book or set of books is heavier and requires extra postage, this fact will be stated in the item description. If you order a heavy book, we will contact you to let you know the amount of extra shipping required; and to ask for your agreement to the additional charge.
Please note that for international sales "Priority" indicates airmail services and "Standard" indicates surface services. Surface mail can take up to three months to deliver outside Europe.
